If you intend to participate in the lottery, please send an email to me with
'I Want to Play' in the subject line.
That way if I do not receive your wish list, I can give you a nudge before you miss the deadline.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION
I will confirm receipt of your wish list, usually within 6 hours.
If you do NOT receive confirmation, it's because I did NOT receive your list!
If you have any doubts, PLEASE contact me to be sure.
In the last lottery there were two collectors that assumed I had received their lists.
They were two very unhappy collectors.
DEADLINE for receipt of your wish list is Thurs/Nov 17 at 11pm (EST)
I am accepting wish lists now and until deadline. Please read all of the details below.
It doesn't matter if you send your list now... or closer to deadline. Upon receipt, each list is assigned a four digit code. First your initials + a two-digit number. Like so... CC01, BK02, AB03. I send an email confirmation that the list is in my hands. To handle the drawing, Andy Balbus suggested that I use a ( random generator) to shuffle the lists. It has worked well in previous lotteries and I will implement it again. The code names will be pasted into the randomizer and shuffled twice for good measure for the first run and each consecutive run. I draw the pen from the top of a wish list, insert it in the collector's file, then move on to the next list. When I get through all of the lists, round one is complete. The codes will be shuffled again and the process will repeat until I finish filling the last wish list or run out of pens! After the lottery, all duplicate designs remaining will be re-posted and available on a first come - first served basis.
Your success in the lottery... will depend on how many people participate and how many pens are on the combined wish lists. Prioritize! Collectors should prepare their lists with the most desired pens at the top. Knowing the majority of duplicates are singles and the most popular designs will sell first, your wish list should begin with the pens you desire most. The more pens on your list, the more likely you are to get pens. Since the pens are listed individually I will not have any trouble keeping track, but it will obviously require time to process. I will notify each participant via email as soon as possible with their results. I usually receive 35-39 wish lists and each list includes 1-100 pens. It is a long and tedious process.
If you are on a limited budget... please establish your limits in advance. If you ask for 20 pens, but want to limit your final tally to no more than 10 pens... then 10 it is. If and when I reach your 10 pen limit, I will stop and set your list aside. Or, you could apply a dollar limit. Just specify your limits when you submit your wish list.
Things you need to know before... you submit your list. Many of these pens are not just Duplicates, they are from my personal collection. If there are flaws, of ANY kind, it is mentioned in the text below the pen. Read the descriptions carefully. The majority of the designs are available in quantities of 1-2 pens. There are a few designs available in both the classic AND t&c style. Specify your preferences. For instance, “I prefer the classic style, but if the only pen left is a t&c, I will take it.” Express your personal preferences when you submit your list. Also, if there are two designs that are extremely similar, provide details so I get the right one. This is an opportunity for you to fill-in your collection with photoramic Eskesen pens at a reasonable price. The lottery rules/deadlines apply exclusively to pens in the Duplicates Category. All Main List categories are handled on a first-come first-served basis.
Wish lists that are received after deadline... will NOT be included in the lottery drawing. However, they will not be ignored. After the lottery pens have been drawn, I will process lists from any/all late-comers. Duplicates that remain in stock after the lottery will be posted on a first-come first-served basis.
The lottery affords everyone... plenty of time to compose their lists. I do have one big favor to ask. Do not submit your list until it is ready. Changes will only serve to complicate everything. And with that I wish you the BEST of luck!!!! If I can get your list filled... I will be extremely happy!
Your floaty friend...
Diana
PS... As always, when you submit your list, be sure to include 'I want to play' in the subject line. Using 'float pens' or 'I want to play' in the subject line will get my immediate attention.
There are 322 duplicates... so I divided the list into two pages. The first page includes categories from Advertise through Art & Celebrity. The second page begins with Events and continues through the end of the Duplicates list. If you have an older computer, the pages could take awhile to load, but it's worth the wait. Click here to browse the Duplicates Category and decide if you want to play. It's important that you 'refresh or reload' the page to make sure you are looking at the current list, it is dated Mon/Nov 14, 2011.
Best of luck in the drawing
